Today I get the privilege of writing about our own little world traveller, Alla Sharma. She’s covered more ground than the rest of the team combined! Little Alla was born on March 9, 1980 in the town of Gorodnya, Ukraine to her proud parents Victor and Maria Gavrilova and her older brother Sergey, while her father was serving there with the Russian army. At the time it was a part of the Soviet Union. When Alla was 4 her mother decided to move back to Lativia, where she herself had grown up and bring Alla and Sergey with her. Alla grew up in the capital of Latvia, Riga, spending summers in Petushki, Russia with her dad until he tragically passed away when she was 15 years old.
As a little girl in Latvia she enjoyed playing tennis, her native folk dances and singing in a choir. During high school she attended 75 Riga Grammar School, where she passed time singing, knitting, playing chess and participating in aerobic sports. She then graduated from Riga Technical University with a Masters in National Economics, where she was the president of the Latvian chapter of the Student Exchange Program for 6 years and managed a team of 9 people.
She met her now husband Ajay Sharma while he was teaching in England twelve years ago through a mutual friend. They got married and moved here to Brantford, where her husband grew up, 9 years ago. They now have 2 beautiful daughters together, Karina, 11 and Anastasia 3.5.
Alla has a wealth of world knowledge she’s acquired having traveled across Asia, North America, Central America, North Africa, and of course Europe. She speaks English, Latvian and Russian fluently.
She aspires to excel in her profession and be the best real estate agent she can be. She loves salmon and stir fry, and her favourite colour is blue and her favourite season is spring. She is very soft spoken, kind, thoughtful and very thorough with her paperwork. She always puts her clients needs first and their happiness is her top priority. We are very proud and thankful to have her on our team.
