Canada Day in Brantford 2018
Extra, extra, read all about it!
July 1 is coming up fast and in Brantford that means that everyone is gearing up for the big Canada Day Celebration at Lion’s Park in West Brant. It’s an annual tradition for many families to go out for the day and celebrate our country as a community. Festivities begin at 11:00 am and end at 11:00 pm. The City of Brantford really does go all out and pulls all the stops to make sure that everyone that attends is in for a good time.
Young Canadians Area from 11am-6pm
For the little ones from noon until 5pm on the main stage there is a line up of fun, interactive shows featuring all time favourite characters like Bob the Builder, Rubble from Paw Patrol and Masha and the Bear. There will be a variety of interesting demonstrations and activities hosted by the Academy of Dance, Arts and Education, Freedom House, Canadian Cancer Society, TK Olympic Taekwondo and last but not least, pony rides for $5 each.

The Main Stage 12pm – 10:30pm
A fun and entertaining main stage line up awaits you including the Brantford Has Talent 1st place winner, Jack Dermarest, Pretzel Logic, Johannes Linstead, The Ones, Freedom Train, LeE HARVeY OsMOND and the highly anticipated, home grown 54.40.

Hungry? Great Canadian Eats is open from 11am-11pm which features several fan fare favourites to satisfy your hunger.
Thirsty? The Rotary’s Beer tent, open 11am-11pm is a popular hang out spot for many.
Bored? The Campbell’s amusement kidzone and Campbell’s amusement midway will also be open from 11am-11pm which is where thrill seekers young and old can enjoy a wide array of classic fair rides and bouncy castles.
Shopaholic? The Shopping Marketplace is open from 11am-11pm featuring local merchants and artisans, the perfect opportunity to support local small businesses.
Interested in Canadian culture and history? The Made in Canada 2018 Indoor Exhibit, open from 11am-6pm inside the Lion’s Park arena showcases vehicles, manufacturing items and interesting provincial facts, hosted by Brant Museums and Archives.
The evening ends with a bang every year with an awe inspiring fireworks display that never disappoints at 10:30pm.
In order to make the event accessible to one and all there is a free shuttle service offered all day.
