Don’t miss out on a really sweet day! This Friday, February 28th from 10am to 5pm our team along with the team at the Water Bar are hosting our very own Cupcake Day in support of the Brant County SPCA! Last year we gave our first cupcake day a go and raised just shy of $900! We did not expect it to be such a success so we have high hopes for this year.
If you’re not familiar with National Cupcake Day, let us brief you. National Cupcake Day is a yearly event held to raise money for local animal shelters. Businesses, teams, workplaces, etc. make cupcakes (or other sweet treats) and sell them in exchange for a donation. All the proceeds go to supporting their local animal shelter. To date $3.5 million has been raised to help animal shelters across Canada. Wow, that’s amazing!
This year all the proceeds from our cupcake day will be donated to the Brant County SPCA. The SPCA is a not-for profit and non-government funded organization dedicated to animal welfare and advocacy. For 50 years the Brant County SPCA has been providing shelter and care for homeless animals, facilitating pet adoption, humane education, and investigations into animal cruelty. The work the Brant County SPCA does to help our community is truly tireless and we’re thrilled to give back to them in anyway we can.
We hope to see you on Friday at the Water Bar (97 Charing Cross St., Brantford). Bring some cash for a donation and you’ll get a little something sweet!
